The Priory Church, Dunstable

The project brief was to design and install an exterior lighting scheme.

Paul Jones used a combination of 150W, 70W and 250W asymmetric metal halide floodlight fittings, chosen primarily because of their colour rendering. This particular type of lamp picks out the soft tones of the stonework, particularly difficult at The Priory because all walls are of different ages and stone types.

Instalec worked alongside Diocesan appointed architects during the ducting process as the necessary cable runs ran through the burial sites within the grounds of the Church.
The finished scheme ensures the Church remains a central feature in the town centre.
